Background
I’m a 24 year-old web developer living in Minneapolis, MN. I got my start in programming contributing to the (was) popular Half-Life and Half-Life 2 modification Digital Paintball.
Education / Career
I attended college at Full Sail University, graduating with a B.S. in Entertainment Business in 2007. Not long after graduation, I was hired by Purple, Rock, Scissors as Lead Developer where I managed a small team of web and mobile developers. I now work for Irdeto USA as a Senior Software Engineer on their broadband video delivery platform and consult a number of digital agencies internationally.
From 2008-2010, I was invited back to Full Sail University to regularly serve on the school’s Web Design & Development Bachelor Program Advisory Board, where I assisted in ensuring the school produced highly competitive and relevant graduates.
I’m also an avid fan of open source software; Contributing to Zend Framework and Symfony 2. The Android platform and gaming engines have lately peaked my interest, but I have yet to settle on a project to call home.
Fun things
I spend a decent amount of my time playing games on Xbox Live or reading Reddit, but since life cannot be lived completely on the internet, I do other things as well. Most namely, I enjoy my bikes (they’re also my only mode of transportation), playing paintball, watching basketball and soccer, painting, photography, listening to music and drinking [coffee/beer].
